Water heater element replacement
the heating element is a rod heater attached to the tank through a threaded flange, on the surface of which a layer of scale accumulates over time, which isolates the heat transfer and extends the heating time until the body finally burns out. During the replacement, we also always check the magnesium anode, which protects the steel core of the tank from rusting: an anode worn less than 10 mm is replaced at the same time.
Tallinn Torutööd describes the heating element replacement in more detail on water heater element replacement page, where there are also photos of the old and new heating element side by side.
